Road to Glow

Hello Bunny Banana!
☆☆☆
So you may or may not have seen me
mention on Facebook that Meadow and I will be
entering a piece into this year's Glow Festival!

Glow is a "two night extravaganza of illuminated
sculpture, multi-media installations,
video projections, performance art,
live music and food," and it's BYOB,
which is my favorite part, of course.

Here's a couple of my favorite pieces from last year's festival:

HIV virus

Mannequin legs

Mixed media display

Paint for the people

☆☆☆
As you can see, we have a lot to live up to!
So here's a few pics of our project coming together:

Meadow is using the bicycle seat to mold chicken wire.

Over 15 strands of 100-lights were used,
one rope light, and a bicycle LED light
(so far anyway, ha ha, the festival is
this weekend- changes may occur!)

You know that there was massive amounts of glitter used.
Always sneaking in glitter if I can!

Stringing a rope light through a tube of chicken wire hurts.
Chicken wire is really pointy, did you know that?
Ha ha.  Ouch.

We went on site to Triangle Ranch in Oracle
this past Saturday to set up.
Meadow was kind enough to do the ladder work
cause I'm a chicken shit when it comes to heights. (Duh.)
There is more to our installation than this
but you'll have to wait until I post pictures
from the night of Glow (some of it is perishable),
can you handle the wait?
 ☆☆☆
Currently our installation is sleeping to gain strength
for Friday and Saturday's extravaganza. Zzzzzzz.

The snake and apples fully set up in the tree.  Don't wake them.
