My Kind Of Fruitcake

NEW YEAR  , NEW IDEAS , NEW POSTS !

IN THE PAST I HAVE HAD REOCCURRING
THEMES BASED ON TOPICS SUCH AS :

SUNDAY'S AT DAD'S
HIKING WITH MOM
SUNSETS
FOOD
DRINKS
ETC.

AND WHILE THESE MAY CONTINUE I WANT
TO START ON SOME NEW ONES , SUCH AS :

ART SHOWS I PARTICIPATE IN
WEEKLY DRAWINGS (DONE BY ME , NOT AS IN A CONTEST)
MOM FASHION (BASED OFF OF MOM'S SOCKS)
 AND MORE!!!!

HOWEVER BEFORE MOVING ON I NEED TO POST ABOUT
THIS ONE LAST HOLIDAY ITEM BEFORE IT GETS LOST IN
THE DRAFTS ABYSS LIKE SO MANY POSTS DO.

AND I THINK THIS FOOD GEM DESERVES A POST ALL ITS OWN.
LOOKS KINDA LIKE A FRUIT CAKE DOESN'T IT??

DAD MADE IT FROM AN IDEA THAT
HIS SISTER  , JERILYN, SENT HIM.

IT'S ACTUALLY A TAMALE "CAKE", I GUESS YOU'D CALL IT???

(WHAT IS THE TECHNICAL TERM FOR A CASSEROLE-LIKE
ITEM IN A BUNDT CAKE PAN MOLD??  I NEED TO KNOW!!)
DAD MADE A PORK CHORIZO FILLING FOR THE INSIDE
LAYER .  IT CAME OUT DELICIOUS !!  THE RED AND GREEN
CHILI PEPPERS MADE IT REALLY FESTIVE LOOKING, AND
TAMALES ARE A BIG HOLIDAY FOOD AROUND THESE PARTS .

ALTHOUGH IT DID KIND OF REMIND ME OF SOMETHING
YOU MIGHT FIND ON THIS WEBSITE :
UPSETTING VINTAGE RECIPES
THANKFULLY IT DOESN'T CALL FOR GELATIN.
