Pinata Halloween Costume

IN OVERDUE NEWS , I WENT AS A PINATA THIS
YEAR FOR HALLOWEEN.  I SAW THIS PICTURE OF
A TODDLER PULLING IT OFF SO I THOUGHT HELL ,
I COULD DO THAT.  USING AN OUTFIT FROM THE
THRIFT STORE I GLUED CREPE PAPER FROM TOP
TO BOTTOM AND THEN FRINGED EACH STRIP.

I OPTED TO DO THE FRONT ONLY SO THAT
WE COULD STILL SIT DOWN AND NOT FEEL
LIKE WE WERE RUINING THE COSTUME .
CREPE PAPER IS A FRAGILE MATERIAL TO
BE DRINKING AND PARTYING IN.

THE HEAD WAS MADE OUT OF A COMBINATION
OF A PABST BLUE RIBBON 12 PACK CARTON (BOTTOM)
AND A POSTAGE BOX FROM THE POST OFFICE (TOP PART).

THE EARS WERE JUST LIGHT CARD BOARD ROLLED
INTO CONE SHAPES AND I DREW THE EYES ON
CARD STOCK AND PASTED THEM ON.

WE GOT A GREAT RESPONSE FROM PEOPLE
ALTHOUGH WE DIDN'T WIN ANY COSTUME CONTESTS .

THIS PHOTO ALONE MADE ALL THE
TEDIOUS WORK TOTALLY WORTH IT.
