The Neon Mile

HAS BEEN PRESERVING THE OLD NEON SIGNS OF TUCSON.
THE "MID-CENTURY VINTAGE ADVERTISING" WAS REVIVED
IN AN INITIATIVE PASSED IN 2011 WHICH ALLOWS VINTAGE
SIGNS TO BE EXCUSED FROM THE TUCSON SIGN CODE
(WHICH FORCES THEM TO BE SMALLER NOW.)  THERE ARE
30 SIGNS FEATURED TOTAL, BUT THEY ARE ALL AROUND
TUCSON.  SOME WHICH HAVE BEEN DISPLACED ARE NOW
LOCATED ON THE PIMA COMMUNITY COLLEGE DOWNTOWN
CAMPUS.  LEARN MORE HERE.

THE NEON MILE.  SERIOUSLY.  I'M NOT FUCKING
WITH YOU.  THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE CALLING IT.
(NO REFERENCE TO THE GREEN MILE I'M SURE, RIGHT?)
KIND OF LIKE HOW THEY JUST NAMED A NEWS STATION
CAMERA HERE SKYNET, THE SELF AWARE ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF THE EVIL
DOING IN THE TERMINATOR MOVIES.  (CLICK
ON THE LINK TO READ MORE.)

I KIND OF FUCKING LOVE THIS TOWN.

BESIDES ALL OF THAT, I LOVE NEON.

FOR REAL

PLUS THERE WAS A COP VAN PROJECTING PETER
PAN FOR THE KIDS.  IT WAS A FUN FOR ALL EVENT.
